1. Who We Are
DsgnBoost ("we", "us", or "our") provides a daily design and creative-industry digest, a curated directory of tools with guides and tasks, and a list of design events. This Privacy Policy explains how the DsgnBoost iOS app handles information about you. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hi@dsgnboost.com.
2. Information We Process
Account information. when you sign in with Apple, we receive an Apple-provided account identifier and, only when Apple provides it, your name and email address (which may be Apple’s private relay address).
Your activity and content, linked to your account. the Daily Updates topics you choose; which stories you have read and your reading streak; stories you save; the tools you mark as Using, To try or Dropped; the kits you create, their steps and the notes you write on tools; and the events you mark as going or saved, with your reminder choice.
Things you send us. feedback and suggestions (tools, news sources, events) that you submit in the app, and the contact email you choose to include.
On your device only. your daily notification time, recent searches, and a small snapshot used by the Home and Lock Screen widgets. We never read your existing calendar.
Service and security data. our infrastructure providers may process limited technical logs needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
3. How We Use Information
We use this information only to run the app: to sign you in and keep your account; to remember your topics, reading progress, saved stories, tool statuses, kits, notes and event choices across your devices; to show your progress in widgets; and to review the feedback and suggestions you send. We do not use it for advertising or analytics, and we do not build profiles to track you.
4. Notifications and Calendar
If you grant permission, DsgnBoost schedules local notifications on your device: a daily reminder that your brief is ready, and a reminder before events you mark as going. We do not send remote push notifications or store a device push token.
If you choose Add to Apple Calendar, the app asks for write-only calendar access and adds that single event. It cannot read your calendar.
5. Sharing and Third Parties
We use Supabase to provide authentication, database, storage, and related infrastructure services; your account data is stored there on our behalf. We do not sell personal information, use advertising or analytics SDKs, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Daily Updates summaries are written from publicly available articles; your personal information is not sent to the services that help prepare them.
When you open a story, tool or event, the app may open the original publisher’s or provider’s website in an in-app browser. Those websites are governed by their own privacy policies.
6. Retention and Account Deletion
Published Daily Updates content is retained for seven calendar days and then deleted from our active systems. We keep your account data while your account is active.
You can delete your account in the app under Profile > Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and all data linked to it (topics, reading history, saved stories, tool statuses, kits, notes, event choices, and the feedback and suggestions you sent) from our active production systems, and disconnects DsgnBoost from your Apple ID by revoking the Sign in with Apple token.
We may retain limited information where necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or until encrypted backups and service-provider logs are routinely overwritten. Support emails may remain in our mail records for as long as reasonably necessary to handle the request.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can change your topics and notification time under Profile, edit or remove your kits, notes and saved items, turn off notifications in iOS Settings, and delete your account in the app. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information that is not available through the app, contact hi@dsgnboost.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No service can guarantee absolute security, so please use DsgnBoost only on devices and networks you trust.
9. Children
DsgnBoost is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact hi@dsgnboost.com.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as DsgnBoost changes. We will post the revised version and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app where appropriate.
